Cycling Insurance

Cycling insurance is a bit of a grey area in cycling, most clubs will require it as a requisite for you to join whilst some shop rides or non-club rides (such as the ones listed on our calendar) will request that you sign a waiver prior to participation. Audax (if you aren’t already member), require you to purchase a monthly insurance pass prior to participating in their rides.

The fact is, if you aren’t insured, you can leave yourself and the people who you are riding with exposed to financial loss.
The two essential reasons for Cyclist insurance are:

Personal Injury Coverage: If you’re involved in an accident, cycling insurance can cover medical costs, rehabilitation, and income protection if you’re unable to work due to injury.
Third-Party Liability: Cyclists can be held legally liable if they cause injury to others or damage property. Insurance helps cover these costs, potentially preventing significant financial losses.
